Jeff Jackson - Principal
jeff08web.jpgJeff  brings a business management perspective that spans adventure tourism, economic development, health care and education. Specializing in organizational change, professional development and project management, Jeff is an award winning educator whose strength lies in implementation and systems planning.

Jeff is a professor and coordinator of Algonquin College's Outdoor Adventure Program, a professional adventure guide training diploma, where he manages 18,000 student field days per year and teaches courses in Leadership, Ethics, Marketing, Risk Management and Business Planning. He has worked as a guide, educator and project manager since 1988, crossing a variety of disciplines, activities and corporate cultures.

Work experience includes leadership and management positions with Outward Bound, the National Outdoor Leadership School, and numerous commercial outfitters. He was co-owner of a therapeutic health care enterprise, and operated a cross country ski resort. He is the former head of certification for White-Water Ontario, writes a regular river conservation column for Rapid Magazine, and sits on a variety of boards, including the Ontario Tourism Outdoor Products Committee.

His consulting work has taken him around the world for economic development, staff training and risk management projects. He speaks extensively on risk-related topics, and has contributions in several textbooks and published articles.

In his free time, Jeff is active in local trail tourism initiatives and is an avid whitewater paddler, cyclist, and cross country skier.
